Business Benefits

You may wish to bill certain accounts different Rates based on the total throughput of a Product for a defined time period.

For example, over the course of the year you may wish to charge $25 per hundredweight for handling on the first 20,000 tons (cumulative), but then reduce the rate to $20 on stock being handled for the remainder of the year. This program is used to define the parameters of this cumulative quantity break Billing.

Usage

Use this job to set up the parameters for cumulative quantity break Billing.

Preconditions

Clients and Products must have been set up in program CR.18 [Client Arrangements] and CR.62 [Client's Inventory Products].

In program CR.18, Field 34 (Activate Quantity Accumulator) must be set to Y.

Subsequent Actions

Based on the parameters set up for each Product, the system will monitor the dates and activate the break Billing automatically at the appropriate time.
