Business Benefits

Periodically the government (federal or local) may require a particular report to be submitted relative to your business. When this happens (or changes), it would be useful to set up the parameters required for the government report. This program allows you to define such a report, with a report heading and associated line descriptions to be used with the actual figures maintained by the computer.

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see CR - Client Related.

Usage

Use this job to facilitate the collection of data for multiple governmental reports and define the information required for each government report; e.g., A Government Report for "Fish":

Report Number is = 23
Report Description = Fish Stock Report
Line Number = 001
Line Description = Small Size Fish
Line Number = 002
Line Description = Medium Size Fish
Line Number = 003
Line Description = Large Size Fish

Report number FS and line number 001 can be attached to multiple Products in Field 74 (Government Report Code) of program CR.62 [Client's Inventory Products].

When the Government Report is generated, statistics for all Products coded with FS001 will be grouped onto Government Report FS on line number 001.

Preconditions

Analyze the Government report forms that you must submit, to determine the line number and description required.

Subsequent Actions

After the Report name and lines are defined, a report and line number can be attached to each Product code in Field 74 (Government Report Code) of program CR.62 [Client's Inventory Products].

Based on these codes, Product statistics such as Weight and quantities will be grouped onto the government reports in programs OR.70 [Government Reports - Calculate] and printed in program OR.71 [Government Reports - Print].
