Business Benefits

Many deliveries follow the same Route to the Ship-To Customer. For some Clients, it may be useful to analyze the Orders being sent along each Route. This program allows you to set up the Route codes, that can then be assigned to each Order for later analysis.

Usage

Use this job to define Routing codes which are attached to Orders and later used for analysis in the Management Reporting (MR) system.

Preconditions

In addition to the mandatory Routing codes required by the system, most Companies develop a grid that represents the various Routes that are used for carrying goods. Each cell in the grid must then be coded so that there are no duplicates.

Subsequent Actions

Routing codes are assigned to Carriers in Field 4 (Routing Code) of program CR.38 [Carriers]. Routing codes are attached to Orders in OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and are used in the Management Reporting (MR) system.
