User-Defined Menus Selecting and Using a Workflow Creating a Workflow Workflow Name Workflow Description Modifying a Workflow Rearranging the Order in MyFavorites

Use the MyFavorites feature to create and invoke personal workflows, menus or wizards that can be defined by you (or any user) to help simplify the navigation of VL HighViews (action grids) and Jobs (applications)

Access s via the Navigation Pane on the main Menu Page.

User-Defined Menus

ViewPoint Logistics comprises hundreds of difference action grids and applications, each designed to address a specific task. The sequence of these tasks can change depending on the 3PL service provider and their work scenarios. While this versatility makes VL one of the most powerful 3PL management systems in the industry ... remembering all the options can sometimes be a challenge, especially if you don't use them on a regular basis.

This is where the MyFavorites feature comes into play. With MyFavorites, you can select and group menu items from existing HighViews, Jobs. Then you can arrange any number of these menu items into your own personal workflows, menu configurations that allow you to sequence action grids and applications according to the tasks you need to perform.

Of course, MyFavorites also provides an important method for organizing and invoking OneClick controls. The primary focus for the "OneClick" design initiative is to facilitate the user's ability to record and automate complex functionality so that it can be re-invoked quickly and consistently every time from a single menu command (and greatly reduce the potential for human error).

Note: Versions of ViewPoint Logistics that were installed prior to November 2012 will not include the features described on this page.

Workflows in MyFavorites are easy to create and easier to use. They reflect the unique requirements of each 3PL service provider, their clients, and each of the operators who use their system. Instructions for creating and using MyFavorites are outlined below:

Selecting and Using a Workflow

To select an existing workflow, open the MyFavorites accordion tab in the Navigation Pane of the Menu Page, then click on one of the menu items listed.

If personal workflows have already been created, then they would be listed under MyFavorites. Otherwise you can create a new workflow (see below). Each workflow can include any number of user-defined menu items (from HighViews, Jobs, and OneClicks) organized under several groups. After selecting a workflow, click on a group item to expand the list of menu items listed for that group. Use the Expand All and Collapse All buttons to instantly show/hide all menu items (in all workflows).

Note that the groups (and user-defined menu items) are also listed in the Display Pane. By default, the first workflow in the list is displayed automatically when you select the MyFavorites accordion tab.

To select multiple (but not consecutive) items, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on various items in the list.
