Business Benefits

Before you start to use the Sales Analysis system, you may wish to enter the historical Sales statistics into the system, so that you may have meaningful reports immediately. When the Sales Analysis system is operational, there may be occasions when you need to adjust one or more of the Sales figures to make them accurate. This program allows you to enter or adjust any of the 24 monthly Sales figures in the system.

Usage

Use this job to enter or adjust the Revenue from each Customer and each Revenue Class for (up to) the past 24 months.

Normally, the entry of (up to) 24 months of Revenue occurs only when the system is initially started.

The adjustment of Sales may be done at any time, whenever there has been a change in one of the Sales categories.

Print:

There is no option in this program to print the values that have been entered/adjusted on the screen.

Preconditions

If you are entering the Sales figures for the first time (ie. during startup), you must gather the information from your "old" system.

If you are adjusting Sales figures, be careful to identify the correct Period to be adjusted; i.e., from the list of 24 months identified on the screen.

Revenue Reporting codes are set up in programs WP.31 [Revenue Analysis Codes] or CR.36 [Revenue Analysis Codes].

Subsequent Actions

The adjusted Sales figures will be used in Management Reporting programs.
