HighViews provide the means to quickly select and export your action grid data automatically into a standard .xls file. If you have a spreadsheet application such as Microsoft Excel installed on your computer, you will also have the option to open the file directly. The spreadsheet output will include the original headers for all the columns selected. Once loaded into Excel, the data can be further formatted, incorporated into a report, chart, printed and/or distributed via email.

The action grid Spreadsheet tab includes two commands for exporting specific data elements or all the data from the grid.

Depending on your browser, the export function will launch a download menu for saving the file to local disk. Following is the popup from Mozilla Firefox.

Exporting All Data from the Action Grid

To export the entire grid as displayed, open the Spreadsheet tab, then click . Note that the spreadsheet's data will be identical to what was showing on the grid when was invoked. Current views, sorts, filtering and renditions will be represented in the output.

Exporting Selected Columns from the Action Grid

You can also export specific columns into the spreadsheet file. Select columns using the Sort Indicator Box.

To export the columns selected (via the Sort Indicator Box), open the Spreadsheet tab, then click . Current views, filtering and renditions will be represented in the output.
