Business Benefits

With Products sometimes moving from Location to Location within the Warehouse, it may occasionally be important to track the movement of particular stock for a certain Client. This program allows you to display this Location 'history' as required.

Usage

Use this job to display the Client and Product information which you are tracking in your Location movement log; i.e., Location 'history') in sequence by Lot code or Location code.

Preconditions

Location History tracking must be activated in program WP.41 [Location History Setup/System].

Clients and Products included in this Location History tracking must be identified in program WP.42 [Location History Setup/Client].

Warehouse and Location codes must have been set up in program WP.11 [Warehouses] and SL.90 [Locations].

The Location History log is updated whenever the designated stock is moved from one Location to another in the Warehouse, in programs:

RE.21 [Receipts]
RE.31 [Receipt Invoices]
OR.20 [Lots - Maintain / Adjust]
OR.21 [Holds - Adjustments]
SL.01 [Location Adjustments (Move)]
SL.04 [Unit ID Adjustment (Move)]
RF.01 [R.F. Menu]
OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments]
OE.21 [Enter Shipped Orders]
SL.03 [Move Entire Lot]
SL.05 [Conveyance Adjustment (Move)]
OE.06 [Pick Confirmation].

"Old" Location History (user defined in Field 2 of program WP.41) is purged from the system in program IP.33 [Shipment Register - Generate].

Subsequent Actions

The Location History log will continue to be updated whenever the designated stock is moved from one Location to another in the Warehouse.

"Old" Location History (user defined in Field 2 of program WP.41) will be purged from the system in program DS.22 [File Maintenance Diagnostic].
