Business Benefits

To ensure that the correct stock is received, picked, moved, counted, etc. warehouse staff are encouraged to scan any/all barcoded information that is attached to and represents the physical stock.

The e-Z Ware system provides a number of useful "browses" that display valid choices (e.g. expected Conveyance IDs to be received). However, if users browse and select a Conveyance ID value that does NOT match the physical stock being processed then inventory accuracy is decreased.

To prevent this scenario from occuring the ability to browse and select Conveyance ID may be suppressed for all/individuals for some/all RF functions. A password may also be attached to some tasks so that a user may be able to enter a valid password and browse and select a Conveyance ID. (e.g., in the event that a barcode label is damaged).

Usage

Determine and record which operators will NOT be able to perform browses of Conveyance IDs for specific RF tasks.

You may also attach a password override to specific users so they may enter the valid pasword and perform and select a Conveyance from a browse.

Note: This password override is currently only available for the following RF task RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Unallocated Picking.

Preconditions

Prior to using this option the RF system must be activated and operators defined in the following jobs:

RF.99 [R.F. System Parameters]

RF.91 [R.F. Operators].

Subsequent Actions

It is recommended that the user that created the restrictions confirm that the operators may/may not perform and select Conveyance Ids from appropriate browses in the following jobs:

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Unallocated Picking Storage Conveyance ID

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Unallocated Picking Shipment Conveyance ID

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Count Stock

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Bulk Receiving

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Single Receiving

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Pick Order to Conveyance

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Moves
