RF.01: Option 09 - Unpick Stock
Table of Contents
Business Benefits
The Radio Frequency (RF) system provides Operators using hand-held RF devices with the ability to access specific functions.
Periodically it may be necessary to modify the order during or after it has been picked but before it is shipped. If the Radio Frequency (RF) system is being used then the order may be modified "on the floor" as opposed to "in the office".
Orders may be modified for a number of reason including:
- A reduction in the order at the request of a Client,
- Rejection of stock to be shipped by quality control staff,
- Insufficient space on a carrier for shipment.
Note: For other RF01-related documentation see RF01 - RF Menu.
Usage
The Operator may unpick stock when any/all stock has been picked and dropped to a staged location. The Operator will be able to sort the information by Conveyance ID, Unit ID, Product, or Lot.
After unpicking stock from the Order, the selected stock may be moved to a Storage location.
Note: Any "unpicked" stock is removed from the Order (i.e., the "To Ship" quantity is reduced by the quantity that is "unpicked").
