RF.01: Option 15 - Location Status
Table of Contents
Business Benefits
The Radio Frequency (RF) system provides Operators using hand-held RF devices with the ability to access specific functions.
If the Active/Directed Put Away and Space Management functions are enabled, then the system will determine whether a specific location has a usable remaining capacity (i.e., volume and weight) for stock being received and put away.
However, periodically a location may become inaccessible (e.g., for receiving, picking, moves, etc.) for a number of reasons (e.g. machinery is parked in front of it, stock is placed in the aisle, etc.). This option allows the Warehouse to change the Location’s current status to "Available" or "Unavailable".
If a Location’s status is set to "Unavailable" then the system will NOT recommend this location as a storage destination.
Note: For other RF01-related documentation see RF01 - RF Menu.

It is also possible to set a Location’s status to Unavailable during RF, Receiving, Picking.
