Business Benefits

The Radio Frequency (RF) system provides Operators using hand-held RF devices with the ability to access specific functions.

Bulk Picking allows a user to select an order number and then simply scan a conveyance to ship without identifying the stock's corresponding line number. The system will ensure that the user may only select a conveyance that contains stock already allocated on a line of the order being picked.

Note: For other RF01-related documentation see RF01 - RF Menu.

Usage

The operation assumptions are:

  • All stock on the order reside in/on a Conveyance ID

Each conveyance may contain multiple items, where both Unit ID and non-Unit ID products exist.

  • Orders are allocated (at lot/location level).

Preconditions

The following must be performed before using the Bulk Picking option:

OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] - Stock MUST be allocated at the Lot level
OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents] - Stock must be allocated at the location level

Subsequent Actions

Following is a list of some of the tasks that are typically performed AFTER the Bulk Picking option:

RF.01 [R.F. Menu] (Load Verify)
RF.55 [Shipment ID Report]
OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents] (Bill of Lading)
OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments]
