Business Benefits

The Active Put-Away functionality will determine the best location for stock during receiving and moves. The selection of the location is based on a variety of parameters (warehouse zones, separation of products, popularity of products, location dimensions, etc) attached to a client/product.

This option allows the user view the location and its parameters in order to determine why a specific location was selected for the stock.

Note: The browse for the order lines will only display order lines that have locations that have been accepted through the best location within RF.

Usage

Use this program to view why a specific location was selected for inventory during receiving or moves.

Preconditions

Prior to using this option any of the following programs may have been run:

RE.21 [Receipts]
RE.31 [Receipt Invoices]
OR.20 [Lots - Maintain / Adjust]
RF.01 [R.F. Menu]

Subsequent Actions

In the event that an "incorrect" location is selected for the stock, then review and (if necessary) change the product's location requirements and profile preferences in the following jobs:

SL.98 [Active Putaway Setup]
SL.88 [Client/Product Profiles-Assign]
SL.82 [Separation Codes and Profiles]
SL.80 [Popularity Codes and Profiles]
SL.87 [Zones]
SL.78 [Storage Types / Type Profiles]
