Business Benefits

When new stock arrives (or prior to its arrival), it is essential to know where you can store it. To do so, you need to know where the empty Locations are in your Warehouse(s) and whether they are big enough to hold the loads coming into the Warehouse. This program allows you to look-up this information on the screen.

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see SL - Stock Locator.

Usage

Use this job to display the empty Locations for a specific Warehouse.

Preconditions

Locations are defined in program SL.90 [Locations].

The actual contents of the Locations in a Warehouse can be emptied by various programs:

OE.06 [Pick Confirmation]
OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments]
OE.21 [Enter Shipped Orders]
OR.20 [Lots - Maintain / Adjust]
SL.01tion Adjustments (Move)]
RF.01 [R.F. Menu] option 1 (Move Stock)
RF.01 [R.F. Menu] option 4 (Pick Stock).

Subsequent Actions

Once you know which Locations are empty, you can begin to plan where to put the new stock when it arrives (or move stock that has been waiting for an opening).

Program Fields and Functions
