Business Benefits

Access Types are used to identify what format the storage facilities being used consist of, and help in structuring the design of the storage systems. For instance, an Access Type could be an "Aisle"or, if unracked, a "Room". If using railway sidings, it could be a "Track". A loading bay could be another form of Access Type.

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see SL - Stock Locator.

Usage

Use this job to define Access Type Codes. An Access Type represents a group of storage locations that have similar requirements for putaway, picking, and equipment to perform these tasks.
