Business Benefits

Rather than allowing stock to be putaway into any location, the system can be configured to verify that an appropriate location was selected. In the event that inappropriate location is selected then the operator must enter a "password" to override it. The system specifically "verifies" that the product and location match with regard to required:

• Storage Zone
• Storage Type
• Separation (of Products)
• Popularity (Turnover)

This is known as "Verified Passive Putaway" (VPP).

Usage

Use this program to indicate which Client/Products require "Verified Passive Putaway"functionality.

Preconditions

Determine which products require "Verified Passive Putaway" functionality.

Prior to performing this job the following programs must be run:

WP.11 [Warehouses]
SL.87 [Zones]
SL.78 [Storage Types / Type Profiles]
SL.80 [Popularity Codes and Profiles]
SL.82 [Separation Codes and Profiles]

Subsequent Actions

If Active Putaway functionality is required (i.e. so the system will select the "best" location based on preference profiles and space availability) then the following programs must be run:

SL.99 [Space Management Control]
SL.98 [Active Putaway Setup]
