Business Benefits

An Aisle Side is the face of an aisle or access route from which product can be accessed for storage and retrieval.

Examples:

"L" = Left
"R" = Right
"-" = No Sides (Bulk Location accessible from all directions)

Aisle/Sides may be linked together to determine the next logical point of reference to which equipment can be moved when navigating through the warehouse; i.e., for putaway and picking.

Usage

Use this program to define aisle sides. At least one side must be defined for each aisle.

Preconditions

Determine the Aisle Side(s) required for each Aisle within a specific warehouse. The following programs must be run prior to creating aisle sides:

SL.91 [Aisles - Create]

Subsequent Actions

Typically the next step required is to define Column Characteristics in program SL.93 [Column Characteristics].
