Business Benefits

Many operations have Pallets as Conveyances. These Pallets are assigned Pallet IDs that can be referenced later, for control and accounting purposes. This program allows you to create these Pallet IDs, either individually or in batches.

Usage

Use this job to create Pallet IDs for Conveyances in a particular Warehouse. These Pallet IDs can be assigned to individual Conveyances, or a series of IDs can be assigned automatically.

Preconditions

Conveyance codes must have been set up in program CR.11 [Conveyances] and Client codes in program CR.06 [Client Names and Addresses].

Warehouse codes must be defined in program WP.11 [Warehouses] and Location codes in program SL.90 [Locations].

Subsequent Actions

The Pallet IDs will be available in any of the stock Receiving and Order entry programs where Conveyances are identified; e.g., RE.21 [Receipts], OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)]).
