Business Benefits
Your Clients' Customers may require different presentations/formats of Serialized Shipping Container Code (SSCC) labels so they may expedite the receiving/tracking of stock. This Job allows you to assign the correct label format and printer to stock shipped from a specific Client to a specific Customer.
Note: For related documentation and workflows, see LI - Label System.
Usage
Use this Job to attach a Serialized Shipping Container Code (SSCC) label and printer (that will generate the label) to the appropriate Clients/Customers.
Preconditions
Prior to assigning the use of specific SSCC labels (and printers) for stock shipped from specific Clients to Customers the following Job must be run to define Serial Reference Number Ranges for Clients.
LI.82 [MH10 - Client Ranges]
Subsequent Actions
This is the last step required in defining MH10 labels for use. The following is a list of subsequent tasks used to create orders and print Serialized Shipping Container Code (SSCC) labels.
OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] - Create an order for a Client/Customer requiring SSCC labels
OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents] - Print the Shipping Document (e.g. Pick Slip)
Note: Warehouse staff would record which stock is "packaged" together on the Shipping Document (e.g., of 12 Product "A" on Order 405992 and Line 001 and 24 of Product "B" on Order 405993 and line 005).
LI.85 [MH10 Label Entry - Orders] - Record which stock resides in/on the same container/pallet and has the same label.
LI.86 [MH10 Label Print/Audit Report] - Print the Labels to apply to the stock.
