Business Benefits

Part of the setup of the Hazardous Materials system includes maintaining a current list of United Nations (UN) / North American (NA) numbers. These numbers and their definitions are available from government regulatory agencies.

Usage

The maintenance of UN / NA numbers should be done each time new Hazardous Products are brought into the Warehouse.

The information in this file is used for printing on the Bill of Lading.

Preconditions

The information must be taken from the Hazardous Materials Table (HM172.101).

Label codes must have been set up in program HM.23 [Labels].

Special Provisions codes must have been defined in program HM.24 [Special Provisions].

Subsequent Actions

The UN and NA numbers are used in Fields 13-18 of program HM.01 [Product Code Setup].
