Business Benefits

The linking of the Harmonized Tariff System - United States (HTSUS) numbers to defined Inventory Product codes enables the system to automatically display the HTSUS number at various entry points. This reduces data entry time and the eliminates the possibility of "keying in" an incorrect HTSUS number.

Usage

Use this job to "link" HTSUS numbers (that appear on various Customs' Forms) to your Clients' Inventory Product Codes.

Note: HTSUS Numbers are required for importation of goods into the United States.

Preconditions

Prior to using this option run the following Jobs:

FZ.99 [Zone Record Maintenance]
CR.62ent's Inventory Products]
WP.44 [Lotting Data Sets]
WP.46 [Lotting Assignments]

Lot Set requirements (WP.44):

An FTZ lot MUST contain the following two lot components.

After linking HTSUS numbers and Product Codes run the job FZ.97 [Country Codes Maintenance].
