Business Benefits

The information contained within the Zone record is used by the system to automatically enforce various Foreign Trade Zone business rules; e.g., allowable Zone Statuses. It is also printed on forms and reports.

Usage

Use this job to record the Foreign Trade Zone parties (e.g. Grantee, Operator, Warehouse) effective and expiry dates, and allowable Zone Status Types as agreed to by the FTZ Board.

Preconditions

Prior to running this job a warehouse must be defined in the job WP.11 [Warehouses].

Subsequent Actions

After defining the Zone run the following jobs:

CR.62 [Client's Inventory Products]
WP.44 [Lotting Data Sets]
WP.46 [Lotting Assignments]
FZ.98 [HTSUS Maintenance Table]

Lot Set requirements (WP.44):
