IP.14: Cyclical Charges - Enter

Business Benefits

There are some Charges that occur on a regular/ cyclical basis. For each cycle the amount of the Charge is the same; e.g., monthly rent.

Rather than enter the details of these Charges each time they are due, it would be convenient to simply identify the Charges as they arise for payment and let the computer handle the recurring details. This program allows you to enter such cyclical Charges, with the corresponding details.

Usage

Use this job to set up a file of Charges to be automatically posted every week, month, quarter, or year (any cycle).

These Charges can be such things as ...

• Rent
• Square Foot Storage
• Clerical Overhead Charges
• etc.

... so long as the amount to be charged is always the same.

Print: There is no option in this program to print the values that are displayed on the screen. This can be done in program IP.93 [Cyclical and Access'l
Charges].

Preconditions

The Charges which will be entered here must have been defined in program CR.22 [Storage, Handling, Other Rates].

Because these Charges are fixed amounts, you may find it convenient to define them as GENERAL Charges, with a zero Rate. It only matters that CR.22 defines an appropriate General Ledger account code and Revenue Reporting code. All other fields of information (Description, Remarks, Invoice Grouping code, etc.) can be entered in this program.

Subsequent Actions

The Cyclical Charges entered in this program may be printed in program IP.93 [Cyclical and Access'l Charges].
