Business Benefits
Some expected inbound stock may arrive without labels describing its contents (e.g., via text and/or barcodes on the label). As a result the processing time and costs for various tasks (put-away, picking, moves, etc.) associated with this stock will be greater than labeled stock.
If the details of the expected inbound stock are known and recorded on the system before the stock arrives, or is put away, then you may generate and print labels for attachment to the stock upon its arrival.
Note: For related documentation and workflows, see LI - Label System.
Usage
Identify Clients requiring Receipt Labels and their specific label format and output printer.
Preconditions
Before indicating that a Client requires receipt labels the actual label format and printer must be defined in the following jobs:
LI.91 [Label Format Codes]
LI.90 [Printer Names]
Subsequent Actions
Receipt Labels contain the stock information associated with an In-Transit. As a result the actual receipt labels may be generated during the printing of a Put-Away document (the system will prompt you to print the labels) or, you may request the printing of the labels associated with a specific In-Transit from a Label Interface system option.
The following steps are performed to generate and print receipt labels.
RE.11 [In-Transit Receipts]
RE.12 [In-Transit Receipts - Print] (Format = 3)
or
RE.11 [In-Transit Receipts]
LI.72 [Intransit Receipt Labels]
