Business Benefits

Customers (Consignees) are requesting (even demanding) that your Clients pack and ship their stock with an attached Serialized Shipping Container Code label (SSCC-18) that links to/identifies the Container/Pallet's contents. Upon receiving the stock Customers (e.g., Retail Chain) may simply scan the bar coded label's Serial ID to rapidly (and accurately)
identify, receive, and locate the stock.

Note: The contents of a SSCC-18 Serial ID (e.g., Pallet) are typically recorded and sent electronically (via Advance Shipment Notification) to the Customer upon shipment of the stock. Customers' applications use this data to determine a scanned Serial ID's contents.

This Job allows you to identify the stock that resides in/on Containers/Pallets that requires a SSCC-18 label.

Printing Labels for a Master Order

If labels need to be generated for more than six (6) Orders then the user may request labels associated with a Master Order.

Prior to printing labels for a Master Order the following tasks must be performed.

  2. Define a Master Order using OE.80 [Generate Master Bill of Lading] or OE.81 [Master Pick Document].
  3. Print Pick Slips by Master Order by running job OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents] - Pick Slip
  4. Pick or record stock to be Shipped with OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments] or RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Pick Order or RF.01 [R.F. Menu] - Unallocated Pick.
  5. Generate Labels via LI.85 [MH10 Label Entry - Orders]. Set Field # 2 - Order = Null (or press ENTER). Set Field # 3 - Master Order

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see LI - Label System.
