Business Benefits

A Line of Business (LOB) is a user-defined group that identifies Revenues earned by providing specific services for stock with specific attributes. Services and Stock belonging to a LOB are identified by transaction types (Receipt Type, Order Type, etc.) and Product characteristics (Sales Group, Generic Code, etc.).

Management may then perform a number of queries and generate reports to assist any decision making process associated with a specific LOB rather than general services (Handling, Storage, etc.) that may be associated with multiple LOBs.

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see MR - Management Reporting.
