            Business Benefits

Once an Order is in the system, it is essential that the processing of that Order start as quickly as possible.

The first part of that process is typically the printing of Shipping Documents so that the Order can be filled with the Products/Items in the Warehouse. However, there may be instances when you need to re-print some or all of these Documents (eg. because the originals were lost or damaged).

This program allows you to identify the Shipping Documents that need to be re-printed, so that they can be included in the print scheduling (program OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents]).

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see OE - Order Entry.

            Usage

            Use this job to:

            • re-print any Bill of Lading or Pickslip (e.g., that may be illegible because of a printer problem),
            • alter the Printer and Forms designation for any number of Bills of Lading or Pickslips.

            Print:

There is no option in this program to print an audit of the Orders requested for re-printing.

            Warning:

If you are using this program to re-print an Order that was mis-printed, be sure to destroy the original form; otherwise it is possible that both Order forms may be sent to the Warehouse and both filled. If the original form is not in hand (ie. it was misplaced, cannot be found), the likelihood of this happening is even greater.

            Preconditions

An Order must have been entered in program OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and printed using program OE.03 [Print Shipping Documents].

Shipping documents may not be re-printed unless Field 15 (Bills of Lading Re-Printable) is set to Y in program WP.96 [Order Processing Profiles].

Field 16 (Bill of Lading Print Sequence) of program WP.96 determines the sequence of printing, by Client or by Order number.

            Subsequent Actions

The Orders identified for re-printing will be scheduled by program E.03 [Print Shipping Documents].
