Business Benefits

In the process of preparing an Order for shipment, there may be many steps. For example, when an Order is created, it may be necessary to label the Product with store-specific Labels. This may require reporting to the system that the Order is currently in the labeling step, and, when it is completed, changing the status again.

While performing any of these steps, it may be desirable to have the Order reflect a user- defined status that has been assigned to that step. This program allows you to do this.

Usage

Use this job to update the status of an Order. The system tracks all changes to the user-defined Order status.

Print:There is no option in the program to print the values that are entered/displayed.

Preconditions

An Order must have been entered in program OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] or received electronically via EDI.

User-defined Status codes must be defined in program SF.15 [Order Status Codes].

Subsequent Actions

The status of the Order will remain the same until updated again in this program or modified automatically by the system as it proceeds to shipment.
