OE.21: Enter Shipped Orders

Business Benefits

Though the preferred procedure is to enter Orders in program OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and confirm the Shipment of goods in program OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments] or OE.06 [Pick Confirmation], there may be situations in which you may not wish to go through this two- or three-step operation. This program allows you to combine these two or three steps into one; For example. because you may be recording a completed event rather than an Order in process.

Usage

Use this job to confirm the Shipment of Orders, without first physically producing a Bill of Lading document, or by using the Client's own Bill of Lading document.

This program combines OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments] into a single step.

If the Product shipped is Serial-numbered, these numbers will have to be identified as the direct billing is entered.

Print: There is no option in this program to print the values that are displayed on the screen.

Preconditions

This program is used as an alternative to programs OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments].

This means that you do not want to enter an Order or confirm Shipment, because the goods have already been shipped; you simply want to record the Shipment details (as if the normal process had been followed).

Subsequent Actions

The Shipment details will appear, together with the transactions from programs OE.01 [Enter Orders (Shipping)] and OE.20 [Confirm or Modify Shipments] and in the end-of-day Register produced by programs IP.33 [Shipment Register - Generate] and IP.90 [Register - Shipments].
