Saving Time and Effort
3PL operations may require you to access different data in different ways, perhaps several times a day. Maybe you regularly alternate between real time and historical information, or maybe you work from only one action grid but switch between different settings. In any case, it can take time to navigate the VL menu, open the action grid, retrieve the data, and then reapply filter and column settings, especially if you had to repeat the same steps throughout the day.
This is where the OneClick feature comes into play. With only "one click" you can instantly open an action grid in a new browser tab, completely bypassing the menu and applying MyViews (Query, Filter, Sort, Column, Crunch, and Chart settings) along the way.
- One click takes you directly into a (user-defined) report of clients, products, arrival times, carriers, operators, etc.
- One click delivers up-to-date results based on a summarized version of your action grid.
- One click provides an instant real time visual representation of your data in a printable 3D graph or chart.
The primary focus for the One Click design initiative is to facilitate the user's ability to record and automate complex functionality so that it can be re-invoked quickly and consistently every time from a single menu command. (Plus, it greatly reduces the potential for human error).
Note: Versions of ViewPoint Logistics that were installed prior to July 2013 do not include the features described on this page.
Add to Menus
OneClicks are tremendous time savers! They consolidate multiple steps and make the most complex tasks effortless to perform, especially when you add them to your user-defined menus in MyFavorites.
