Business Benefits

At any given time of day, there is a limited capacity to process new receipts, dependent on the type of load. In order to prevent overbooking of appointments, the system needs to warn Operators if they attempt to overbook a particular time slot. This program allows you to set up the capacity of each time slot, keyed to the type of storage; e.g. palletized, slip-sheeted, floor.

Usage

Use this job to set up the capacity of each time slot for particular Warehouses and Storage Types.

Preconditions

For each Storage Type, you will need to determine what the corresponding time slots should be.

Warehouse codes must be set up in program WP.11 [Warehouses].

Subsequent Actions

This table will be used by the system in program RE.01 [Appointment Log] to determine how many appointments are allowed in
a given time slot. It is assumed that the same table will apply for each day of the week.
