Business Benefits
Instructions to have goods picked up for return to the Warehouse usually come in the form of an Order. Whether received manually or via EDI, this information is treated as goods in transit and an In-Transit Receipt opened with the appropriate information.
Based on the In-Transit information, this program allows a Bill of Lading to be printed.
This Return Bill of Lading is given to the appropriate Carrier for pickup of the goods. Once the goods are returned, a regular Receipt is opened (based on the In-Transit Receipt number) and the goods are received into the Warehouse.
Note: For related documentation and workflows, see RE - Receipt Entry.
