These controls are used for selecting, arranging, evaluating, and exporting collections of records.

Invokes the Flash Filter popup tool for browsing and filtering grid data (at a glance) based on the columns selected.

More

Unlike standard Filtering, which produces results based on specific filter criteria, the Flash Filter produces results based on the data elements selected from one or two columns. To use the Flash Filter, select the column(s) from which to browse by clicking on their column headings. Use Multi-Column Sort Selection to select a second column (if required).

After your columns are selected, click on the Flash Filter control to invoke the browser. This produces a tree view list of every data element that appears (at least once) in the primary column. Browsing and clicking from the list will instantly filter the action grid based on the data element selected.

If a second column is applied to the Flash Filter, the tree view list will include the secondary data element that can be selected for even more specific results. Close the Flash Filter once the action grid is filtered the way you want it. This tool is a real time saver since the operator can review various details and subtotals at a glance, without having to create and perform individual filters for each collection of data.

Compiles a summarized table from selected columns, calculating number of unique instances (for text and dates), calculating quantities (for numeric values). The percentage associated with each value is calculated against the grand total of all the data within each of the selected columns.

More

To apply this Crunch option (after selecting columns from an action grid) open the Specials tab, then click . This launches the Crunch console as follows (click to enlarge):

You can filter and rearrange Crunch results then render them as a Chart for a nice visual representation of the generated data. Save your Crunch and Chart settings to MyViews to be recalled instantly to see the latest results whenever you need them. For more information about performing a Crunch and or rendering a Chart (from a Crunch) see Crunch Analysis.

Enables various columns to be converted to rows, which also allows crunch and chart functionality to be applied to the new "pivoted" grid.

More

For example, in the WMS Monthly Sales action grid, the monthly columns may be "pivoted" to show each month on a separate row:

To display a "pivoted" grid, click the Specials tab, then click the Columns to Rows option. This launches the Columns to Rows console, which lists all of the columns that are available to be displayed as rows.

Note that Filtering and/or Sorts may be applied to the grid prior to using this feature.
