Business Benefits

With Products sometimes moving from Location to Location within the Warehouse, it may occasionally be important to track the movement of stock. This program allows you to control the length of time this Location 'history' is retained in the system.

Usage

Use this job to initiate the logging of Location movement information and specify the length of time this Location 'history' is to be retained in the system.

Preconditions

Make sure there is sufficient space on your computer disk to store this Location history, especially if there is a large volume of in-Warehouse stock movement and if the retention days is high.

Subsequent Actions

Client-specific Location tracking must be set up in program WP.42 [Location History Setup/Client].

You may display the Location history in program OR.49 [Location History - Inquiry].

"Old" history records will be removed from the system in program IP.33 [Shipment Register - Generate].
