Business Benefits

In a Warehousing operation, the recording of incoming Receipts is a central function. RE.21 provides the ability to record information about Receipts, and also tracks the Locations where the goods have been stored in the Warehouse.

Usage

Use this job to keep track of the information related to goods that have arrived in the Warehouse.

The type of information recorded here includes any or all of the following:

Receipt header information such as:

- Client,
- Carrier,
- reference numbers,
- date received, etc.
- temperature detail

Product detail information such as:

- Product code,
- Lot code,
- Unit IDs,
- Conveyances, etc.
- Temperature details

There is also an option to print Labels, once a Product line has been entered, and . to generate Unit IDs automatically.

Preconditions

The Receipt numbers used in this program are assigned initially in program RE.91 [Receipt Number Ranges].

Optionally, some information about the Receipt may already have been entered in programs RE.11 [In-Transit Receipts] or RE.01 [Appointment Log].

If a Receipt was entered in program RE.21 [Receipts ], and Field 6 (Print Audit Before Invoice) of program WP.95 [Receiving Profiles] is set to Y, you must first run program RE.22 [Receipts - Print].

Subsequent Actions

Details of Receipts entered in this program may be printed in program RE.22 [Receipts - Print]. Before being considered complete, Receipts must also be rated in program RE.31 [Receipt Invoices], but, if Field 6 (Print Audit Before Invoice) of program WP.95 [Receiving Profiles] is set to Y, you must run program RE.22 [Receipts - Print] before running program RE.31.
