Business Benefits

The Radio Frequency (RF) system provides Operators using hand-held RF devices with the ability to access specific functions. This job allows you to define the functionality which they are able to access, which in turn determines what is displayed on the individual hand-held screens.

Usage

Once RF.01 has been selected, it brings you to the RF menu, giving you access to the options that were assigned in program RF.91 [R.F. Operators]. All the functions available to Operators with hand-held RF devices are provided in this program.Whenever an Operator logs in on a hand-held RF device, the system will automatically take them to this menu (if this is how the Operator is set up in Operator Preferences).

While the RF.01 menu is designed for viewing in a hand-held device, Operators can also access it directly as a program in ViewPoint Logistics.

Preconditions

Prior to using this program, Operators must first have their overall RF system setup in program RF.99 [R.F. System Parameters], as well as security access defined in program RF.91 [R.F. Operators].

Subsequent Actions

For each Operator code, you must set up the Operator Preferences in program Z0 MC.85 [Operator Preferences] to reflect what the primary job and Company are.

Documentation and Workflow

Select from the menu items listed above to review the documentation that is available for that RF option.

Note: For related documentation and workflows, see RF - Radio Frequency.
